The past few days I’ve headed back to my hometown, after a few months absence, to visit the family. I’m not saying I’ve headed home, because I think home is two places at once: where you place your hat (head -> mind) and where you nurture your feelings (heart). In other words, I feel like I’m home to my self, and for this reason I didn’t start this reasoning claiming I’d headed back home… because I never quite leave home, in the sense I perceive it.
All the while, as I travelled back to the place where I was born and raised, I could not keep myself from thinking… It’s amazing how old things get renewed, after just a short absence. Everything looks fresh and sparkling, and nothing seems dull as it sometimes did, when I roamed around the same places all over again. In all truth, this is probably one of the greatest things about travelling - getting back to where you came from with a freshly renewed sense of perspective.
So, it’s that time of the year once again, right? Summer’s drawing close to the end, and you’re left wondering if there’s still chance for a nice family beach vacation, right? Well, I’m reading about this place which might just tickle that special vacation spot you’re looking after. This is a huge amusement park in New Jersey, complete with amusement rides, water parks, group travels and great food, as well as everything you could hope for in a family beach vacation in the NJ area.
And did I tell you about the weekly’s specials? Each day of the week there’s a special activity going on for your enjoyment; make sure to check out their homepage and if you’ve been to Morey’s piers already, make sure to share your experiences via comments box.
Being a traveler and a computer enthusiast is not always a sound combination. Particularly if you work online, and get around a lot. Getting a good set of flash drives and / or portable hard drives is a good solution, however it’s not 100% fool proof, since there’s always a chance you’ll lose or damage such devices. In my opinion, the safest and most reliable way to keep important files at hand is to store them in the Internet; there are several professional secure FTP services which may provide an optimum solution, and Praga Systems is arguably one of the best. So if you’re interested in keeping your files safes and available anywhere you go, consider this.
Hello dear readers! You might have noticed I’ve been posting somewhat infrequently lately, well that’s because I’ve been going around enjoying the summer and getting the occasional vacation escapade - something I’m sure you can relate with. Speakin of which, today I’d like to make a suggestion for a nice travelling around in the old US of A, courtesy of Trusted Tours & Attractions.
This time around, I’m talking about the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. As you might know, this is a major touristic center where you can catch a glimpse and feeling of America’s efforts to reach outer space. Not only that, much of the KSC it also an important wildlife sanctuary, featuring astonishing landscapes. If you’re interested in everything related to space and you’re looking for a nice place to spend your vacations, think about touring across the Kennedy Space Center, it might be just what you’ve been looking for. If you’re a person who enjoys traveling, upbeat initiatives and life in general, and you hang around the vast Interwebs, there’s a good chance you’ve probably been told about this guy. Matt Harding is an internet celebrity of sorts, generally known as “Dancing Matt” quite simply because… well he enjoys dancing a lot, recklessly flailing his limbs like there’s no tomorrow. Also, he loves shaking his moves it all around the world, and in fact it could be reasoned he’s already crossed half world with his wacky dance, reaching out to millions of people and amusing us all with his goofy ways.
Matt looks like the kind of person that just won’t settle down; not in the conformist way, at least. He’s always been a traveler of sorts (check video at the end of this article for an interview), and one day a friend dared him to do that “crazy dance” in front of the camera. That day, a special kind of magic was born, and thousands of people from all over the world seemed to enjoy watching. In fact the success was overwhelming that it didn’t take long until Matt was offered a sponsorship by a chewing gum company which really allowed this dreamer to soar the skies of cyberspace, while roaming across the vast green earth:
Where the hell is MAtt (2006)
That’s how the second hugely popular video from Dancing Matt came about, including footage from over 47 countries in the world. Millions of people watched this video, and it instantly became an Internet phenomenon. Time went by, and two years later, Matt approached his sponsors with a suggestion for a sequel of sorts - this time around he wanted to dance with people from around the world, thousands of which had contacted him via e-mail, asking when he’d stop by their homelands for a two-step.
Where the hell is matt? (2008)
How about that? When it comes to finding a good contemporary example of how believing in your dreams and the power of spontaneity and fun, Matt Harding is easily a role model. Armed with nothing but a crazy non-sensical dance and a taste for travel, he was able to reach out to the world and into the hearts of millions of people. I couldn’t be happier or more honored to cut this guy a slice, because what he’s doing positively provides us with a heartfelt, cheerful reminder why it’s great being around here. Life is just great, when you learn how to let go and let it be.
