When you sit back and think about everything you wish to accomplish in your life, do you see a clear path? If you answered yes, you are one of the lucky few. If you answered no, don’t panic, it just means you are normal. Most of us know that there are many things we would like to accomplish, but most of us get so caught up in life we cannot find a way to make that happen. When you find yourself in this type of position, all is not lost. You can still find a way to accomplish everything you desire with the help of a life coach.
What Is A Life Coach?
A life coach is a professional consultant that can help you reach your goals. They are trained in many different aspects of everyday life. They can provide you with the guidance and knowledge you need to “make things happen.”
A life coach looks at your current situation and your desired goals and creates a path to follow to succeed. They are able to provide this guidance because they can approach the situation without an emotional attachment. Emotions are often what stop us from succeeding, even though it may not seem that way.
How Does It Work?
Lola was a very busy woman. She had three children at home, a husband and a full time job. She managed the house, volunteered at school, and was active in her church. However, Lola was not happy because she thought her life was too frantic, even in bucolic northern Colorado. She was unable to find the time and energy to pursue starting up her own business, a life long dream of hers. After several years of frustration, she decided to hire a life coach in Colorado Springs to evaluate what was going on and help her find a way to meet her goals. Everyone thought she was a little “off” for trying such an unusual approach, by Lola persevered.
The life coach looked at the way that Lola spent her time. She estimated where time was wasted and where Lola should cut back to make time for herself. She helped her organize her obligations to family and volunteer time, and within a few months of implementing these changes, Lola held the grand opening for her shop and invited everyone who didn’t think she could do it.
In The End
Sometimes the positive changes that we need to make in our lives cannot be seen with our own eyes. We thrash around the trees in search of the forest. A third party, someone professionally trained, can help us find the right path. This is where a life coach can help. They can use their professional knowledge and experience to look at the situation and come up with a solution that simply cannot be seen by the individual.
A life coach can approach and aid with most any problem. In Lola’s situation, she needed help with organization and time management, in other situations the needs may range from goal setting, planning for retirement, relationship issues, job or career development to spiritual needs.
If you find that you are not pleased with the way your life is going, and cannot figure out how to change it around, you can improve your situation rather quickly by using a life coach.
If it wasn’t for her life coach, Catharine Bramkamp would still be in real estate instead of teaching and writing. In Lola’s case, she found her life coach in Colorado Springs by searching the Noomii directory of coaches, she interviewed a handful of possible guides and found the coach that matched her needs and temperament. Not only does a coach make a difference, the right coach is life changing.
