This website is the brainchild of an Australian called Gavin Aung Than. He was a freelance illustrator and designer for several years, until he decided to take a gamble on a dream; and from the looks of it, he’s winning!

Gavin quit his job earlier in the year and devoted himself exclusively to creating a website that mixed famous quotes with cartoons. A few months after, and ZEN pencils already features a vast and steadily growing audience, and almost fifty illustrated quotes (and growing) are already available.

Within a few months of its inception, this project was already met with widespread acclaim from readers and critics alike, and everything suggests it will be a bright future for this talented author and his creations. It’s awesome work, and he does a great job of surpassing the reader’s expectations on a regular basis.
