You might remember a few weeks back when I told you about Paula Rego’s Vision of wine, so this time I’ll stick to a brief summary, before providing you with the full set of pictures I was lucky to come across.
Portugal, 2007: Wine Corporation hires renowned surrealist artist to come up with a new set of labels to illustrate their wine bottles.
Just a few weeks later – all hell breaks loose, as wine corporation threatens to sue the artist. The reason? Apparently the author’s vision of wine wasn’t in par with their own. If you ask me? Now, there’s a company in dire need of a new Marketing Director: one who Knows the difference between an artist and an illustrator.
