Granted, laughing is one of life’s great pleasures, but every once in a while, some of us astonishingly succeed in turning the pleasure into excess. Sounds improbable? Well, by all means turn up your speakers for an added effect, as I’m about to introduce you to the … unabashable bunch! Within their finest hour, nothing would get in the way between those people and their bursting happiness… and I mean nothing- not even common sense. Just watch:
Here’s a nice story about how far you can go with the power of dreams and doing things you believe in. Once upon a time in the 1920’s in the small town of Buena Park in Palm Springs, California, there was a family of farmers who decided to get a roadside stand and they started selling some berries, berry plants and pies. Business kept rolling steadily, and in the next decade the Knott family introduced the first innovation - they started selling a new innovative kind of berry. During the next decades, they progressively stated selling new products, and eventually the business had become so sucessful that Mr. Knott decided to build a ghost town in the property, to keep the long lines of customers entertained while they waited for service. Fast forward to the 1970’s, and Knott’s Berry Farm had already become a top-notch amusement park, regularly visited by Walt Disney himself, who thoroughly enjoyed the uniqueness of the place.
Well, this just goes to say… if you someday find yourself thinking about getting a roadside stand or something of the sort, don’t let yourself think it’s a dumb idea, because you never know how things might turn out in the long run. I’ve become so excited about this inspirational story that I’ve felt compelled to check out the Trusted Tours and Attractions page about Knotts berry farm tickets, and I might just head out towards the Orange County, this summer still.

Today I’m here to tell you about a new toy I’ve recently heard of, which I was instantly drawn to. The astrojax is quite simply a set of three balls bound together by string, which can be used to engage some fascinating gravity defying stunts. This toy feels somewhat like a cross between yo-yo and juggling, and it’s quite interesting to use it because you must learn how to sense the tension in the string and react accordingly. Like this:
There are several types of astrojax available, built with different materials and suitable for different degrees of expertise; some of the recent models include built-in LEDs for a psychedelic effect, or they’re filled with water for a more interesting motion dynamics. If you just want to try using this cool toy, I’ll also show you how to make one from simple household materials.
Granted, this Astrojax DIY is not nearly as accurate as a commercial model so it’s not very good for making advanced maneuvers; still, it’s good enough for getting a feeling of what this is all about, and practice some of the basic techniques.
