Becoming a new Mum can be pretty hard at times – after all, even though it’s the most natural thing in the world (being in a mother) it’s also an incredibly big leap, and something you can never fully prepare for. Since the invention of the smart phones though, new Mums can download some helpful appds onto their phones to help them with the process. It may sound silly and even a little too “techie” – but you’d be surprised at how helpful some of these apps can be. Being able to access information immediately about your baby is a great plus, and will help them settle into a routine of feeding and nursing, etc.
Here is a list of my top 5 apps for new Mums, but feel free to add more to the list if you have any recommendations you’d like to share!
This app is great as it lets you record your babies feeding times, your milk production and your sleeping patterns too. It pretty much helps you organise your babies life (which at this stage revolves around eating and sleeping). Some may think it trivial – but having a reminder when their feed is due can be just a busy, new mum needs.
Ever get worried that your baby isn’t developing as fast as others you know? This app is perfect for those women who find themselves worrying at the little (or big things). You’ll be able to ask questions, get advice and talk to other mums about your child’s development, and all the medical advice is provided by professionals – so completely trustworthy.
Baby massage has become a trendy and fashionable thing for new mums to do – but it’s something that should only be done with training and knowledge. Baby massage can help relax your baby and if great for their development and bonding – so this is definitely a worthy thing to look into when becoming a new mum!
4. Lullaby App
This great little app is perfect for babies that need some help falling asleep. The app has a preloaded amount of lullabies, as well many “relaxing sounds” to help lull your child off to sleep if they’re struggling. You can save your favourite noises and tunes and it’s easy to navigate too.
Converted into app form (after being a successful book) this app concentrates on your baby’s intellectual and mental development. You’ll learn what to expect at different stages of your baby’s early stages – which can seriously ease any worries you may have had.
