Acne is a skin condition most will suffer at some point, most in there adolescence but it can also effect people well into there adulthood. The majority of people who suffer from this skin condition will spend $100s or $1000s on conventional over the counter acne treatments, but the truth is most of these products all contain the same or similar ingredients that do not work, or only for a short period of time.

Tip 1 – Cleansing The Skin
The best cleansers for acne are those that are natural and use very little ingredients I have found. A really good natural cleanser is honey. It contains anti-bacterial, ant-viral, anti-inflammatory properties and is high in antioxidants, what more do you want from a cleanser to clear pimples.
Tip 2 – Drink 2 Litres Of Water Per Day
Drinking 6-8 glasses (2 litres) of water per day will help flush the system of toxins and hydrate the skin. Just by doing this will give you great improvements if you do it for long enough.
Tip 3 – Reduce Stress
Stress puts the body out of balance which can lead to acne breakouts. The best way to reduce stress is yoga or meditation. If you would not be comfortable going to a class to learn yoga or meditation, don’t worry as there are many DVDS that you can learn from in the comfort of your home.
Tip 4 – Diet
A massive topic always in the acne community is diet. Whether you believe diet affects acne or not eating healthier is only going to help. It’s also important to remember that eating healthy does not mean cutting out everything that is unhealthy, just making sure that a high% of your diet consists of healthy foods.
Tip 5 – Get Active
Getting active does not have to mean going to the gym everyday, in-fact it does not have to mean ever going to the gym. Running, cycling, hiking and other similar activities will have much greater benefits for your skin than lifting weights in the gym.
Tip 6 – Change Your Pillow Case Daily
Bacteria, oil and other impurities very quickly build up on the pillow case, for this reason it is important you change it daily. A good tip if you run out of clean pillow cases is to put a clean towel over the pillow instead.
Tip 7 – Keep Hair Off The Face
If most of your acne is on areas were your hair is touching your face, try a new hairstyle that takes the hair of that area and see if the acne improves.
Tip 8 – Detox
Every few months try and do a detox. There are many different detoxes you can try that will be beneficial for your acne. Detoxing will help to clear the system of toxins and put it back into balance.
