In the fast-paced technological days we live by, is there a greater plague scouring the modern societies other than apathy and ignorance? If I had to wager and point my finger towards a greater issue underlying all other disturbances we’re all faced with, I’d probably put my money on… well, money - or the lack thereof. In my opinion, this is quite possibly the root of all evils… and while I’ll positively refrain myself from engaging a pointless rant against capitalism, I cannot help but feeling a little repulse at living in a world where so many people life shackled in severe financial troubles.

Auto Loans: bridging the gap between you and your dream car?

admin September 14th, 2008

Don’t take me wrong, dear reader: I’m not one who will provide with with encouragement to get into debt. However, I’m one who will provide you with encouragement to chase after your dreams,,, and if getting an Auto Loan is the only way you can think of getting a hold of your dream car… well, I don’t try to dissuade you out of your aspirations. I’ll urge you to be cautious and mindful in your calculations, and furthermore I’ll ask you to keep your loan realistic.

I mean, it’s not very wise to purchase a car that will be worth five years of your salary, but maybe it’s not unreasonable to get a car that will cost one year or so - as long as you feel that it’s worth it, I suppose there’s nothing wrong with that! Just remember that true happiness cannot possibly be derived from any wordly possession. Keep perspective in stock and you’ll soar freely across life’s sweet highways… whether or not you’re sitting in the best car in the world!

admin July 17th, 2008

We all know about our IQ (inteligent quocient) and EQ’s (emotional quocient), but what about our FQ’s? Dealing with personal finances can be just as tricky as handling any other aspect of human interaction, perhaps even more so. It’s not by accident so many people these days have fallen into debt, and it’s not a mere consequence of the complicated socio-political stage we’re living through: It takes a real skill to manage a household economy without falling prey to the pitfalls of the modern consumerist society.

This is why Debt consolidation resources proliferate the internet, nowadays. For example, the website I’m telling you about today provides a nice way of checking your Bills IQ, through a simple and engaging quiz. I just took this test and my result was not as bright as I’d hoped for, so I figure it’s about time I start improving my Finantial IQ. If you can relate to this feeling, by all means go ahead and take this free quiz!

Credit Cards: Good or bad? You choose!

admin June 17th, 2008

If we would discuss the one thing that stands as both a blessing and a curse of our modern-age consumerist societies, credit cards would be it. Sure, it could be argued people easily forget that credit equals borrowed money, so it involves spending money you don’t have - and sinking further into debt. However, it can also be argued that a smart person can use credit to great advantage; especially in those times in life where something unexpected happens that involves coming up with additional money you don’t have. So if you’re up for getting a new credit card, make sure it doesn’t end up cursing you; remain judicious and wise, and there’s a good chance you’ll benefit.
