I’m always thinking of better ways to develop this website so it provides a more engaging user experience. This is something you might have noticed, if you’re a regular visitor. Lately, I’ve been considering an holistic approach of sorts; what does that imply? It’s actually quite simple.

The vision that I have is that in the future, Slices of Life will be a repository of three essential types of articles: non-commercial, money spenders, and money earners. The basic idea is that, in the same measure I provide readers with consumerist ideas, I’ll try to provide them with ways to earn that extra money to spend on the very items I keep talking about - or whatever gets you going. The main concept is that you needn’t exactly spend money shopping online - provided you support your purchases with money you’ll also be making online - thus fulfilling the consumerist cycle.  How’s about that? Sounds pretty good, right? If you’re wondering how this would come about, do keep reading.

When I talk about a holistic consummerist approach, it implies that Slices of Life will be a website focused not only on ways to spend money, but on possibilities of earning money online. Does that mean I’ll show you how to get rich online? Hardly so; that is something you must figure out for yourself, although I advise you to be cautious in what you believe in. Out here on the vast cyberspace wilderness, when something sounds too good to be true, chances are it’s actually fake.

On the other hand, I’ve noticed in my own online excursions there’s a growing number of reasonable avenues for making moderate profit. How much? Well, that’s always a function of a number of factors, such as how many hours you put in, how lucky/talented/created you are, and how many people you know. Nonetheless, I think these days it’s possible to scrape anywhere from $50-$500, provided you’re acquainted with the reliable, tried-and-true sources of income.

This is where I come in. From now on, I’ll be actively organizing the website around the holistic consumerism concept I’ve discussed here. You might have noticed there’s a new page in the top navigation bar titled “Your Profit“. This will be the spot where I’ll group all relevant posts that can help you make that extra pocket money, so watch out for that. I assure you that in the weeks to come, a diverse range of money-making avenues will be included.

In any case, consumerisms aside, don’t forget the main purpose of this website is providing a daily reminder of why we like it here - it’s all about having fun!If you have any ideas, thoughts, comments, suggestions, rants, *whatever*, feel welcome to express yourself. This website belongs to all of us - In fact, I’ve also been contemplating ways to really turn Slices of Life into a collective effort. Many pleasant surprises loom down our collective path, so stay tuned!
