It’s the onset a new century, and things keep changing; and oftentimes they do change for the best. Granted, there are still many terrible, terrible things out there… but there’s also hope, and there’s a will to learn from past mistakes: it’s just a matter of what you choose to keep in focus, and where you choose to look at. If you’re a person like me, then you much rather prefer to think about solutions than problems… even when the issue at hand is on such a large scale as the deterioration of our planet.
You know… I think in the old days, we talked about ecology. Nowadays we start talking about awareness. In my opinion this is a good thing: In the old days, it seemed enough to just do a little recycling, maybe try and save some water. That was perfectly good to begin with, but all the while we should keep in mind it was just a warm-up! Anyone who really wants to help save this planet must take a hands-on approach, that’s for sure – but it also involves a lot of learning, as well as the shifting of certain age-old perspectives.

If you want to learn more about things you can effectively do (or avoid doing) in order to preserve our common well-being as a planet, maybe you’ll want to check out The Tree of Tomorrow Site. This is a comprehensive website discussing most of the recurring questions that invariably confront the green people: so if you’ve been wondering about permaculture, alternative lifestyles, natural living and the study of ancient wisdom, there’s a good chance you’ll find something for you over there! Likewise, if you want to keep in touch with communities which partake your ways of thinking, the tree of tomorrow might be a wonderful starting point. I’ve barely started exploring this website, but I have a feeling it has good potential!
