The following pictures showcase what is known as “Rice Paddy Art“. It’s the result of thousands of villagers working together every year. They plant millions of colored rice plants to come up with this interesting effect.
They started this tradition back in 1993, and during the first years the farmers focused on this traditional design:
But after a few years, they decided to start experimenting with new ideas — and that’s when it really got interesting!
