Many women believe that putting make-up on makes them more attractive, and for almost everyone that’s the case. However when applying makeup it’s very easy to get it wrong or make a mistake and before you know it, it’s all gone wrong. Lets be honest, most women are guilty to adding a little extra blusher or more foundation in order to cover up a blemish or imperfection. But this isn’t always the case. Just because you’re adding on an extra layer or a darker shade doesn’t mean you’re going to be looking your best. It’s quite easy to go from hot bombshell to makeup mishap.

Glitter Creeper

Number one on my list of do not’s is the dreaded Glitter. Ok let’s think about this one sensibly, glitter is fine when you are young, like when your 12 and you’re experimenting with your dolls or going to a princess tea party but it’s a little bit weird when a fully grown woman is wearing it on a night out. It can look like you taking part in a stage show and that’s not necessarily the look you want epically if that stage show is drag.

Sludge Lips

The next on my hit list is the dreaded sludge lips. This happens when ladies get carried away with their lipstick or gloss and it begins to stick together and resembles slime. Now don’t get me wrong nice lips are extremely attractive. One layer of your desired lipstick or gloss is brilliant, five or six layers may be a bit harsh and just looks awful

Lip Liner Mishaps

Sludge slip brings me nicely on to Lip liner. Remember Ladies, if you outline always shade in. There is just no excuse. If you insist on using liner then use one that is the roughly the same shade as your lipstick, darker shades are definitely a no and can make you look more like a creepy zombie rather than a figure of beauty. Darker lip liner belongs in the 80’s and that’s where it needs to stay. Also don’t overdraw your lips or put any lipstick over the natural line of your lips. This will give you the ultimate unattractive trout pout.

Crush with Eyeliner

Eye makeup is up next. Have you ever been walking at night and a car approaches you with full head lights on? Well when you apply the one shade of bright eye shadow from lid to brow this is what you look like. This can leave you looking really harsh and make you look like a clown. Remember to be subtle and if when you want to go bright just do the eyelid. This is more than enough and will open up your eyes perfectly. Likewise with dark makeup, we all love raccoons. They’re cute and adorable but you don’t want to look like one. Try to stay away from very dark shades and try not to rub your eyes too much and keep a watch out in case your mascara runs.

Unnatural Bronze

During the winter most of us are looking a little paler than usual after months of wrapping up and staying indoors. But come one there is so need to look like you’ve spent the last sent months soaking up the rays in St. Tropez (unless you have). Women sometimes feel like they need to brighten up their face and this is perfectly normal, after all bronzer is our friend. But lay applying all the bronzer, the last thing you need is to look like Mary Poppins in the scene where she come down the chimney. The same goes for Blusher. Use just to emphasis and not to cover and blend in properly with a brush.
Remember ladies, if avoid these everyday mistakes and stick to the simple basic rules you will have people staring at you for all the right reasons.
