Umbrella hats, beer holsters, trick whoopee cushions. No matter how many weird and silly gadgets come out, people still love them and actually buy them.  But here is a list of kinda weird, but actually very practical and useful gadgets that many people may  actually find a use for.

 

1. Waiter’s Tray

This ergonomically designed tray allows for it to be held firmly in the palm, due to small indentations where each finger is placed. The tray can’t slip, since it is anchored on each digit.

A tray held aloft, as in the style of Grimes the butler, will no longer be in danger of falling, keeping everything on it safe. And you will look so professional, as well.

This is a real attention getter and conversation starter, and what more could you want on a beach, with a bevy of buxom bikinied beauties to attract? Yes, the chalk outline of a crime victim is depicted on the towel as if a body had just been removed from the ground. This is not your ordinary beach towel.

 

3. Cookie Cup

This is a really great and practical idea, even if it is a little weird. A coffee cup made with a small shelf on the bottom, where you can fit four or five of your favorite cookies. (Well, maybe only two or three Oreos, since they are double layered.) Leaves you an extra hand for the paper, a book, your phone, whatever. No crumb trail left behind, either.

 

4. Banana Saver

If you like to bring a banana to work, or on a picnic, you definitely do not like what happens to it after you have transported it. Even a hard lunch box can bounce around a delicate banana quite a bit. A nice little banana shaped plastic box keeps all those vitamins and potassium protected.

It is kind of like those purpose built tomato and onion containers meant to keep these things fresh in the refrigerator. But, as Carmen Miranda says, you never, ever, keep a banana in the refrigerator. It’s so cute, you may even get your kids to eat their fruit.

 

5. Laser Scissors

Calling all obsessives. If you cannot stand the ends of your papers to be misshapen, this is your gadget. It is easy to use and guaranteed to give you a straight line, every time, since the scissors are guided by a pin point laser. Just follow the laser line to the perfect cut.
