Hello, and welcome. Today we’re reviewing an exciting e-book that teaches the tricks of trade you will find handy when trying to draw vehicles that look realistic and life-like. Something like this:
This drawing wasn’t sketched in by me, in case you’re wondering. It’s a sample drawing from the author of this e-book on “How to draw cars“. It’s going for around $37 (a bit expensive, but remember this is supposed to be a book with real tricks of trade, actual pearls of drawing wisdom that you can take to your drawing board and make a killing drawing vehicles), it’s an instant download, and as you can see from the table of contents here, it certainly looks like a VERY useful tutorial.
I don’t know about you, but personally I’m very picky when it comes to art tutorials and art teachers in general. All it takes is watching a person draw for 1-2 minutes, and I can tell whether that person is a real draftsman or simply a… lowly teacher. As in “those can get it done, get it done… those who can’t get it done, teach how it’s done.

Well, not this guy. He really looks like a pro illustrator, and he obviously knows what he’s doing. Just check out this video to watch him in action, and you’ll get my meaning:
And as you may have noticed, the official website for “How to draw cars” like a pro can be found right here. There’s also a handy little freebie that you definitely have to check out, called “5 things you should avoid before putting pen to paper”. It’s free, no strings attached: just click here for a free pdf with this neat warm-up lesson.
I don’t even know whether this book is also available on print, but truth of the matter is that since the advent of the iPad I’m more of a e-book kind of guy. And this one. Just. Looks. Awesome. I’m feeling most inclined to purchasing it, and if so, I’ll make a follow up post with my drawings before and after getting the lowdown on “how to draw cars like a pro“!
