Dubturbo review: instant beats maker software.

- Ideal for novice users with little audio production experience.

- Extremely intuitive and easy to use, allows making original beats easy as pie.

- Comes preloaded with a good arsenal of samples and ready-made beats

- Allows importing and exporting of high-quality MP3 and WAV files.

If you were to ask a music producer to recommend a beats creator software, he’d probably mention products such as Cubase or Ableton! Live, maybe Fruity Loops studio. Those are probably the leading titles in terms of beat making software, but they’re meant for advanced users.

Not only can those professional audio suites cost upwards of $1000, but it can take weeks of intense studying before you learn how to use them to make something half decent. For anyone who’s just getting started, or looking to have some fun making beats… there are much better alternatives, such as Dubturbo.

This unique piece of software was specifically designed to help people like you make their own beats, whether it’s rap beats, techno beats, house beats, dub beats…. you name it.

Dubturbo works on PC or MAC, it’s extremely intuitive but still reasonably powerful: it comes preloaded with a database of over a thousand pre-set beats and sound samples that you can easily put together to make your own original beats… and you can get this software online for just $66 (note: at the time of writing, they’re selling Dub Turbo for a special price, just $ 33. However, this promotion most likely won’t be permanent; make sure to check the official website for details.)

But enough of the bla-bla… here’s a video I dug up, where they showcase just what Dubturbo is all about. So, if you have no time to lose, just –

That does look amazing, doesn’t it? I know some guys who know nothing about music, but who still have managed to create some amazing ground-stomping beats using this software. The program lays it out so easy that beat making gets VERY intuitive. In fact, that’s probably the strongest appeal of DubTurbo: it’s a very powerful beats creator, but it doesn’t take years before you learn how to actually use it to make something rockin’… in fact, it’s so easy to use that you will have no problems at all making your own beats in the very first day using it.

Also, since this wicked beats maker is available for direct download, you can literally start using it in a matter of minutes. Just go to the official website, place your order, and you’ll be immediately sent to the download area from which you can download the latest version of the program (currently version 1.5). In short, if you don’t want to wast time pussyfootin’ around, and you just want to get started making beats and having fun… you simply can’t go wrong with Dubturbo.

Dub Turbo: the downsides

Regarding its negative aspects…. well, make no mistake: Dubturbo isn’t nearly as powerful as a professional suite of music making software. But those are tools that may cost thousands of dollars, and take months of learning until you can make something out of them. On the flip side, Dubturbo costs as much as a video game, and it’s just as fun and easy to use. And if you can’t believe this software can be used to compose the truly ill beats, just check out this other video:

Cool, uh? Well, hope this Dubturbo review was useful. If you want to get started making your own beats, just head out to the official website for more details:

  1. I’d like to get dubturbo, but I’m not too comfortable with buying it online. Is there any way I can get it mailed to my house on a CD?

  2. [...] writing this dub turbo review yesterday, I spent all night playing around with DubStudio… and I must say I’m having a [...]

  3. Dude, that is so …. XX century of you. Do people even use CD’s nowadays? Personally, I much prefer getting an instant download for digital products I buy, rather than waiting a bunch of days to get them delivered in the mail. Also, if you’re worried about getting scammed, you should know the DubTurbo stores relies on one of the most reputable online payment processors available. They even have a 60-day refund guarantee, so there’s nothing to worry about.

And as far as I know, the only way to get this software legally is through a direct download from the official website. You can’t even find it on the torrent sites or whatever (I know because I tried ;-) …. yeah I’m such a fiend sometimes). Still, at under $30 this software is well worth the price… at least I think so.

    Hope this helps,
    P.

  4. I never thought that dutburbo could make salsa beats, but it is possible…

  5. Dubturbo is by far the worst 40 dollars ive ever spent. Sure, its easy to use for beginners but the quality is horrible and there are almost no features. I have Fruity loops and dub turbo and with dubturbo, it took me 20 minutes to make the same beat on fruity loops that i made in 2 minutes, because i had to click on the same damn note 3 times before it finally loaded in dubturbo, and when i finished a beat and played it, EVERYTHING was off (yes, i made sure all of the timing is right.). If you think im biased, because ive probably had FL longer and ive had dub turbo for a few days, i started using fruity loops 2 days before I downloaded DT. Do not by this piece of shit software. i recommend saving up and buying FL as it is MUCH more practical and quite frankly, its pretty easy to use as well. Maybe its just my luck that i got shitty quality in my version, but i downloaded it off the internet so youd think it would be the same as anyone elses. I know there are more good reviews about it, but i recommend something more practical… and something you can map a damn midi controller on. if you can map and use a controller in DT, i certainly can’t figure out how and if someone should tell me how if you can…

  6. Hi,

Maybe you got an old version of Dubturbo? I hear they’ve just released 2.0, and it’s supposed to be a big improvement over the previous version. You need to contact customer support (support@dubturbo.com) since they will surely let you have the newest version free of charge.

Also, you seen to have basic understanding of audio production… well; as I mentioned in this review, Dub Turbo is recommendable for people who 1) have no experience with audio production and 2) are looking for a stepping stone in their learning process. The software just costs $40, after all! It’s not fair even comparing it to a professional package such as Fruity Loops, which costs $500 or so :-) ) To each his own, right?

Thanks for your comment though, it’s much appreciated. Let me know if you have trouble getting the latest version of DubTurbo from customer support, I’ll be happy to help you do so!

  7. well guys wats the real verdict i use reason 5 is dubturbo better or not i just want the best wat do u recomend

  8. If you already own Reason 5 and know your way around it, you might as well stay with it:
Dub Turbo is right for people just getting started since it’s inexpensive and easy to learn.
