I don’t know about you, but I think it’s a wonderful thing when technology is put to the service of the elderly and the disabled! Take this Stairlift for example… that’s quite the invention, I’m telling you. And even though I don’t plan on needing one in the near future, it’s really great to know there’s such a thing out there, and also to know it’s not as expensive as it sounds.

Simply put, the stairlift is just what the name suggests: a compact staircase elevator, shaped very much like a chair. If you have a family member who’s having trouble climbing those stairs, this is just the thing for you! It just takes a press of a button, and the person who’s sitting in the chair will get carried towards the top of the stairs, or back down. All perfectly safe – and from the look of it, perfectly comfortable as well.

This is indeed a great piece of machinery, compact, powerful… and readily available.  I was browsing around this website casually, and I was very much impressed with the different models and different price ranges. Like I told you before, I hope I won’t need to install one of these anytime soon (unless I get really lazy), but all the while it’s great learning about this kind of thing!
