peacock mantis shrimp

It certainly comes as no surprise how the vast blue seas are populated with the strangest creatures imaginable to man. But still, I’ve just caught glimpse – via internet, mind you – of this remarkably strange specimen, with quite the self-explanartory name: It’s called the Peacock Mantis Shrimp, because, well… it looks like a cross-over between the aformentioned creatures. I’m rather impressed with its amalgamated colorful look, so here’s a video tribute to this unique creature from the marine depths.
