Got malware? Counter with Cyberdefender Internet security suite!

+

Yeah, well… to be honest, I’m not quite so happy today, because I just realized my computer was infected with a virus… yet again. So while I’m sorting out all this mess I really don’t feel like posting about anything else. I was asking around for a good Antivirus Software, and someone told me about this online package called Cyberdefender.

I was checking the product description and it actually looks pretty decent; complete with real-time security updates, this software promises a break trough technology which includes full compatibility with other programs such as McAfee, Symantec and Panda. Well the thing is it doesn’t cost nearly as much as the better known alternatives… from my calculations I could save over a hundred bucks for choosing this solution, but I’d like to get some second opinions first.

So, anybody out there who’s willing to review this Cyberdefender thing via comments box?

    Hi SOL!!!

Yeah, my system got hammered by some evil virus trojan thingy, and it was bad. My poor lovable h0m8-systim, it really took over the browser and had some word problems.

First I tried PC Tools, which found some stuff, and thought it was OK, but still had browser and word problems. So I tried Cyberdefender, and it found even more stuff. Afterwards my system worked ok.

I like that it looks for trojans, malware and sypware – not just viruses. I liked it enough, that I paid for the upgrade, cuz I wanted the back-up, and the ability to contact someone at Cyberdefender who will answer any of my (or my sons) questions.

I don’t usually write reviews of computers programs, but I found this blog and saw this and decided to post this ‘review’. I hope it helps. Cyberdefender rocks!!!

You should never BUY an antivirus, most of the freeware anti-virusses are better then the ones you pay for just get something ike AVG or Antivir and you should be safe from most of the shit.

Thanks for the review, Betty – I really appreciate that. Personally, I used to think like dodge, until osomeone made me realize something: when it comes to technological development, how could a company which provides a service for free possibly compete with another company that provides the same service for a price? I mean, research takes funding, and even though hopes and dreams are wonderful things, but they aren’t so good when it comes to bringing in the cheese.

Yeah, I had PC Tools, but it had lots of pop-ups and it didn’t catch a bad trojan that screwed up my IE. I ended up downloading the free version of Cyberdefender and liked it’s interface and that it took care of my virus problem. It did have some pop-up reminders like PCT, but not as many and after checking out what you got for the basic upgrade I paid for it and have been very happy. I also like the MyIdentityDefender toolbar for IE which is really good and works with thier user base to show you risky sites. 2 Thumbs up for Cyberdefender!! I hope this helps.
