Do you remember that old, towering clock you used to see in your grandparent’s living room? Yeah, as a child you problably got mesmerized with its impressive mechamisms, eerie chimes and progressive clockwork rumble. I remember when I was a child I saw a tv show based around a grandfather’s clock which was actually a magic portal to another dimension, and as a natural consequence I’ve always associated these clocks with phantasy and magic. So, when I grew older and eventually moved out into my own house, I’ve always mused the idea of getting one of these grandfather clocks.

Some people seem to think it’s an obsolete piece of furniture, one that doesn’t really add up to the modern style that’s all the rage in furniture design, lately. Well, I think otherwise! Most of my furniture is really plain and modern-looking, and I think that’ll make my new clock stand out even more. I feel it’ll add an interesting contrast to my living room, and moreover it will bring back fond memories from my childhood.
