How many changes before forgetting who you are?

Life is fleeting, and there’s only one thing you should rely upon: Change. Nothing ever remains the same, and all things exist in constant flux. We’re all changing, all the time, and once we embrace this fact, it can actually be quite liberating. I mean, how would you feel if nothing ever changed, and you remained exactly alike during the course of your life? I’m sure it’d be tremendously boring.

There are many people who realize this, even though sometimes they arguably overdo their surrender to change. I’m sure you know some people who keep changing so rapidly, that sometimes they end up putting their sense of identity to waste. I’m not sure that’s a bad thing (I’m leaving that for debate via comments, in case someone is interested) but the reason why I’m engaging this kind of musing on personality and change is to put your mind wheels turning in anticipation for the following picture:

this is all the same person

Yup, that’s the same one person in each photograph. Amazing, uh?

Cool designer’s table could chop your fingers… or your vegetables!

admin June 24th, 2008

Everyone who’s into designer’s furtinure will absolutely love this innovative table concept. I, for one think it’s really ingenious and classy, and I’m wondering if it could be used to chop some vegetables. I mean, just notice when it closes off, those joints put off quite the snap. I suppose this is one of those situations when a piece of furniture is just too effective for its own good; what do you think?

Just in case You’re Wondering… Where the hell Is Matt?

admin June 22nd, 2008

If you’re a person who enjoys traveling, upbeat initiatives and life in general, and you hang around the vast Interwebs, there’s a good chance you’ve probably been told about this guy. Matt Harding is an internet celebrity of sorts, generally known as “Dancing Matt” quite simply because… well he enjoys dancing a lot, recklessly flailing his limbs like there’s no tomorrow. Also, he loves shaking his moves it all around the world, and in fact it could be reasoned he’s already crossed half world with his wacky dance, reaching out to millions of people and amusing us all with his goofy ways.

where the hell is matt?

Matt looks like the kind of person that just won’t settle down; not in the conformist way, at least. He’s always been a traveler of sorts (check video at the end of this article for an interview), and one day a friend dared him to do that “crazy dance” in front of the camera. That day, a special kind of magic was born, and thousands of people from all over the world seemed to enjoy watching. In fact the success was overwhelming that it didn’t take long until Matt was offered a sponsorship by a chewing gum company which really allowed this dreamer to soar the skies of cyberspace, while roaming across the vast green earth:

Where the hell is MAtt (2006)

That’s how the second hugely popular video from Dancing Matt came about, including footage from over 47 countries in the world. Millions of people watched this video, and it instantly became an Internet phenomenon. Time went by, and two years later, Matt approached his sponsors with a suggestion for a sequel of sorts - this time around he wanted to dance with people from around the world, thousands of which had contacted him via e-mail, asking when he’d stop by their homelands for a two-step.

Where the hell is matt? (2008)

How about that? When it comes to finding a good contemporary example of how believing in your dreams and the power of spontaneity and fun, Matt Harding is easily a role model. Armed with nothing but a crazy non-sensical dance and a taste for travel, he was able to reach out to the world and into the hearts of millions of people. I couldn’t be happier or more honored to cut this guy a slice, because what he’s doing positively provides us with a heartfelt, cheerful reminder why it’s great being around here. Life is just great, when you learn how to let go and let it be.

The perennial webhosting woes and a possible solution!

admin June 21st, 2008

If you’ve ever run a website, you’re probably familiar with the typical woes stemming from the underlying technicalities. One of the most aggravating being - I’ll say, based on my personal experience, the troublesome, crucial and evergoing task of scrounging the web for a proper hosting service.

Myself, I’m currently using my second webhost (after 13 months of operations), and the idea of switching to a new one does not seem so far-fetched now as it did a few months ago. We live and learn, and quite often we learn it’s best to change.

So, just in case you’re a fellow webmaster facing this kind of trouble, maybe you’ll want to check out today’s lead, since it looks to me like a reasonable service. If you by any chance know of some information pertaining this specific webhost that might be relevant for us all, do feel free to share - via comments, as usual!
