Goldberg’s Family Album, 1979 – present: a depiction of time’s arrow.
+
According to this interesting phographic essay, for the last 30 years the members of the Goldberg family have enacted a private ritual, and now they’re letting the world in on the results. As you can see, they photographed themselves each year on June 17th, starting in 1789. By watching this pictures, one gets a feeling that even though we can’t stop time’s arrow, we can keep stock of time flowing by, and hopefully get encouraged to take the best of life. I think this is a great experiment, and it sure sounds like a good idea for every family out there to adopt their own photographic rituals. Think about it, maybe in the future you’ll be happy you did!
