I really don’t know if this is an effect of globalization, but I’ve noticed that the modern cultures keep getting progressively amalgamated. Personally, I think this a great thing, since we get to take the best from several worlds; this is probably why there’s increasingly more people on the west getting interested in eastern lifestyle and culture, and likewise. Nowadays, us westerners aren’t simply interested in manga, anime , zen and holistic therapies. There is increasingly more people who are drawn to the uniqueness of oriental lifestyle, and even oriental furniture has become remarkably popular nowadays.

Myself, I can understand why so many people are getting into oriental furniture.
