In the course of centuries of evolution and history, mankind has been consistently worried about keeping track of time. Upon such an obstinate quest, many time-telling devices have been devised, in all shapes, sizes and materials. Arguably though, no such device is more charismatic and appealing than the grandfather clock; I mean - there’s is something about these towering time-trackers that transcends the designated purpose, well into the boundaries of the collective imagination and deep into the very bottom of our hearts… something akin to beauty and magic.

Who doesn’t remember, as a child, staring in bewildered amazement upwards at the huge piece of furniture standing in the centre of the grandfather’s living room, proud and unfettered, ticking away into oblivion? Chances are many among you have inherited their grandfather’s clock, which remains to this day as a symbol of your family heritage. You may not be aware of it, but this kind of antique clock is held in high regards by many grandfather clocks worldwide.
