Was the House (MD) cleared by suboxone?

Lately I’ve been watching House MD, and it’s actually one of my favorite TV shows; however some times I wonder about the main character. Granted, he comes across as a highly talented physician and remarkably intelligent individual, but all at once he’s obviously a deranged lunatic who’s heavy into substance abuse… I mean, just look at him!
Okay, it’s not like he’s the kind of junkie that ought to sign-up for a methadone detox program, but he’s obviously got some kind of heavy addiction going on. I mean, he’s clearly hooked on those Vicodin pills, and the only reason most people either won’t notice or won’t mind his addiction is that he’s such a prodigious doctor.
However, I’ve been noticing in the latest season, he seems to have laid of the pills a bit – which makes good sense, after everything that happened in season 3. I don’t know if the show’s writers have come up with some logical explanation for this, but I’ve been hearing about this new therapy called suboxone detox, and it’s supposed to be real good. Wonder if that’s have anything to do with it! This substance is supposed to be some kind of an opiace antagonist, and it works by countering the effects of drugs so it no longer causes effect, thus making the addicted lose the craving.
According to this webpage discussing suboxone treatment centers, this is a unique therapy because it makes it possible for a person to detox discreetly, without getting institutionalized. If you ask me, Dr. Gregory House must have been using this service… that’s why he just dropped in addiction in between seasons 3 and 4, without making any fuss about it. Kind of makes sense, if you think of it… now, I wonder if the suboxone thing is really effective in real life… if so, it certainly sounds like a huge step forward in addiction recovery!

Mario here from Brooklyn jus to answer ya question Suboxone is a God send, and no i don’t think House is on subuxone lol funny thought tho maybe eventually he’ll do that (rather than methadone)
