Such a cool, cool beauty: Harbin Ice and Snow Festival
+
The following pictures provide a lovely demonstration of the Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival, which is one of the largest events of its kind, worldwide. This festival is held annually in China since 1963, and it consistently exhibits some of the (literally) coolest sculpture work known to man. During last year’s event, there was further celebration because one of the colossal statues actually made it to the Guinness book of records; for more information about the 2007 Harbin (including several other pictures) check here. Have fun looking at this outstanding exhibition and do keep in mind it’s okay to love massive blocks of ice, but it’s always a bad idea to try and lick them.

Also… if you hurry up, you might be on time for the 2008 edition of this festival. If you’d really like to go but you’re short on cash, you can always apply for a payday loan… just make sure you won’t get into financial trouble for going on a crazy frozen goose chase.
