Head out towards the caribbean and become a pirate and/or a castaway.

Too much stress, too much pressure, too much too much. Once again, I realize a familar sensation is surfacing upon my chest. I’m getting that old feeling where I’m compelled to leave my grown-up sand castles (i.e. responsibilities) behind and just leave towards uncharted beaches… shimmering golden beaches of the unknown. Sometimes I feel like selling all my stuff and backpacking my way into oblivion…. or perhaps signing up for a grand royal caribbean cruise, and then hang aroud until I find a nice peaceful cottage where I could leisurely spend the rest of my fading youth, well into my gray-headed, long bearded demise.
Now, don’t get me wrong… The reason I don’t actually succumb this kind of impulse and get away from where I’m at right now is because I’m pretty sure I’d eventually get tired, no matter how lovely a place I would drift towards. And I certainly don’t want to be a drifter all my life, I’d rather be a genuine seeker. Ain’t no point in running away from your shadow, you might as well learn to cope with the darker side of life, and with yourself. So what, if life is not perfect? So what, if I’m not as rich and successful as I know I could be? That’s just a technicality as far as I’m concerned, and I’ll make sure to keep track of my own destiny… for better or worse. This just goes to say, If I ever go to the Caribbean, I’ll make sure I’m not merely running away from a state of mind, otherwise I’ll never really get anywhere interesting. Also, I’ll make sure I don’t become a pirate or a castaway, I guess.
