Who am I? Who am I *really*? Where do I come from? What’s my purpose, my destiny? Is there anything insubstantial and timeless lurking beneath my identity? Such questions of intrinsic existentialist nature are bound to occur to every human being, and they’re an obvious consequence of self-awareness. I doubt there is anyone who doesn’t contemplate the causality behind the self, once in a while; granted some people lean towards a more shallow and sporadic type of contemplation, whereas others make it their primary life quest.
