If you enjoyed our recent post about the secret wonderful technique of making bottled fruit, then VegiForms should be right up your gardening alley as well, since it’s a similar concept with a different application and purpose. You see, instead of placing a budding fruit inside a clear glass bottle as to let it grow inside the bottle, this technique involves using fantasy-shaped plastic molded containers to grow your pumpkins, zucchinis and similar vegetables into quite sculptural forms. Like so:

I suppose this technique would also work with those animal-shaped cookie jars or something like that – as long as it’s made of plastic, so you can cut the mold and free the vegetable, once it has grown into the shape of the container. In any case, you should know that VegiForms is actually a company which sells a line of plastic molds aimed at making this ingenious effect; if you want to learn more about them, check out this nice blog on gardening tips & ideias. I just wish the catalogue would be more diverse, including Halloween-themed molds, or otherwise molds shaped like celebrities. Can you imagine a zucchini shaped just like Mr. cowboy president? Now that would be something!
Have fun putting your vegetables into shape, and if you ever feel like doing so, make sure to send us some of your nice pictures! Enjoy your gardening and be free from constraints, plastic or otherwise.
