As I’ve told you lately, I’ve been having this recurrent urge of dropping everything and going to Hawaii, this holiday season. Obviously, my family hasn’t been too happy with this kind of reasoning, and consequently I have been progressively (painstakingly) discouraged from going away during the holidays. I figured it actually makes some sense, since that’s a family thing and everything and they’d probably miss my good spirits… so maybe I should hold my sea horses and maybe take a little vacation early next year so I can finally go all like “Aloha, people!” once and for all. Naturally, It wouldn’t feel right to simply indulge my family without making some sort of a statement, and as chance would have it, a brilliant plan has been seamlessly hatched upon my devious (albeit purposedly childish on occasion) mind.

I was just forwarded to a peculiar online store which goes by the name “Mad Gringo”, so I felt right at home. While I roamed around the place, I was drawn to their philosophy of Go-Slow (take it easy and keep moving), as well as their brilliant motto “Enjoy more sunsets: every day there’s is one less of them”. Furthermore, I was drawn to their catalogue of vibrant, aggressive, screeching colorful Hawaiian shirts - and this was the part when then gears in my head really started to turn. So, yes, I will probably concede to my family’s request of not drifting away to Hawaii during the holiday season; however, I will definitely make a stand by grabbing some of the most outrageous Hawaiian shirts available at the Mad Gringo beach wear store, and then I’ll keep wearing those all through the holiday season, until everyone around me has gone colorblind and desperately annoyed. When I’m through playing my cards, there will not be a single soul in the neighbourhood who won’t be encouraging me to take a vacation in a faraway island! Don’t you think this is a masterful plan?
