Sometimes, when I get away from blogging and manage to roam freely around the streets, there’s something that particularly draws my curiosity. I’ve always felt utterly fascinated with old abandoned buildings, and I often find myself daydreaming not only about the history behind such places, but also about finding a way in, looking around and maybe shooting some pictures to put online. I believe there’s an unexplainable allure to such places, and for a while I was unsure if there was people who felt the same.
This is why I was pleasantly surprised when I learnt about Urban Exploration, which is arguably an increasingly popular urban sport. Apparently there’s a host of TV shows focusing this theme, but I don’t really do that much television (not since they invented the Internet), so I was unaware of it. I also found a cool companion website to a zine titled Infiltration, and this is certainly worth checking out: “The zine about going places you’re not supposed to go”. Within this amazing publication, you’ll be provided with both Theory, Practice and Resources concerning this under-rated modern sport.

There’s also this video authored by some Canadian explorers - while it’s (to the best of my knowledge) unrelated to Infiltration Zine, it’s good enough for providing an introduction on the theme:
