And just before you accuse me of professing ethnic slur, just watch the following video, and you’ll realize how japanese people enjoy mocking themselves more than anyone else. This is footage from some sort of crazy japanese game show where the contestants are expected to play a human variety of tetris where the punishment for failure is getting pushed into a swimming pool. While the premise sounds simple enough, most contestants don’t succed, either because they are totally inept or because they’re required to mimic the most awkward block shapes you can imagine. Some of those little guys really try doing their best tough, it’s actually kind of inspiring once you think of it.
