It sure is a strange world we’re living in. It might have been strange all along, but I’ll definitely wager it’s not becoming any less strange – at all. And when one would think it couldn’t get any stranger, down comes a website dubbed The Internet Home of Weird Records, where you learn about this old rock band that specialized in making Beatles covers where the vocals were sung by none other than a bunch of proud specimens of man’s most priveledged friendship within the animal world.
You got that right, this post is about the Beatle Barkers, a band that really barks a punch. And I mean that literally, as well; I cannot personally help but becoming a little injured with the mere thought of listening to such popular songs as “Hey, Jude”, “Yellow Submarine” and “All you need is love” (which are already somewhat annoying in the original versions), in glorious howling splendor. And we’re not talking howling as the modern rock singers do, but actually genuine dog-bark howling. Outrageous, I say… and I’m not even a Beatles fan, mind you! I’m just a bewildered witness of a strange, strange world where apparently – anything goes.

For more examples of old-school musical weirdness, be sure to take a look around Frank’s Vinyl Museum (the Internet Home of Weird Records).
