I just got to know about the newest online file sharing service around the virtual block, and it certainly sounds promising. Online file sharing is highly useful for a number of purposes: whether you want to keep on-line backups of your important files, you want to put them online without spending precious bandwidth or you just want to have access to your files anywhere and you keep losing your pen drive, this is the perfect solution for you.
Driveway’s uniqueness comes from the fact that one can use ‘edit widgets’ for shares; using this feature, it’s possible to edit the shared documents directly with a single click from your desktop. This spares you the tedious labor of having to edit, save and email back the files someone has asked you to review. The editable shared links are even multi-user capable, which becomes quite handy, if you usually bounce files back and forth between your friends and co-workers.
In addition, Driveway can be used to create traditional read only links to send large files. Most email systems have limits on attachments file sizes (typically bellow 20MB) with this handy service it’s possible to overcome such limitations. By using driveway’s ‘Parkit’ links you get to upload files up to 500MB in size! Naturally, you can also post the ‘Parkit’ links in blog, website or anywhere you feel like.
