This guy called W. Grey  came up with the really cool idea of making a periodic table of the Internet, and the result is a chart which is shocking full of great resources. This is the one periodic table that you won’t hesitate scrutinizing for personal enjoyment; even tough you’re bound to be familiar many of the links there, chances are you will find some nice surprises - I know I have.

Similarly to the periodic table of elements, there are XVII groups in this table, ranging from Search Engines, to Internet Tools, Site Ranking, Aggregators, Webcomics, Productivity, Get Stuff, Operating Systems, Miscellaneous, Blogs, Social Networking, Podcasts, Videos, and News. While I doubt this chart provides a 100% reliable reference of the most popular sites on the Internet, it’s still a nice way of learning what’s hot in the vast cyberspace realms, nowadays.
