Real Life Simpsons Intro!

Real Life Simpsons Intro!

Like anyone else who has a sense of humor, I cannot keep myself from enjoying the hugely popular animated TV show “The Simpsons”. The archetypical all-American family which inhabits the peaceful town of Springfield has captured the imagination of thousands of viewers all over the world. Over a year ago (March 20, 2006) episode 400 was broacast, and it marked the celebration of the 20th years of the franchise. Right now, the 19th season is airing on FOX, and the first feature-lenght movie will be released next week (July 27), much to the satisfacion of the series faithfull legion of fans.

Today’s slice does not pertain the Simpsons movie, even tough it’s movie-related. For a while now, rumors have circled the Internet that the big studios would be considering the possibility of creating a live-action simpsons film. While I have serious reserves something like that would really emerge (or at least I wish it won’t), today I found something that may be a step towards that direction. It’s a video featuring a real-life version of the simpsons; this video has been hugely popular (it’s still among top most watched youtube videos ever), and it has sparked intense debate and speclation regarding the possibility that a real-life simpsons movie is on the making.

Actually, the production values on this piece are quite high, and that really adds up to the possibility that yet one of the major cartoons ever will be butchered by hollywood’s greedy conspurcations. Oh well, maybe they’ll actually manage to make a decent real-life adaptation … although my disbelief remains suspended until further notice. If anyone knows further information regarding this particular rumor, please do let me know.
