Ever since I started blogging, I’ve contemplated the chance of someday being able to earn some money doing it. Lately, there’s a lot of buzz around the new “sponsored blogging” companies, and I figured, why not? I don’t think there’s anything wrong with people looking forward to monetize their websites, provided the monetization schemes don’t get ahead of the content. Also, I think sponsored posts are pretty harmless because:
1) Most companies require the posts are dilluted among normal posts at a 3:1 rate.

2 ) Most sponsors don’t ask you to lie to the readers, they just want you to talk about their product; neutral tone is allowed.

3) Bloggers get to choose from a list of sponsors, so they aren’t required (nor encouraged) to make sponsored posts outsite their field of interest.

Furthermore, I think sponsored blogging this is potentially good thing because:

1) It provides blog author with extra stream of revenue.

2) Extra money acts as encouragement for blogger to create better content.

3) Readers don’t spend a dime, they get to read about some potentially interesting products and services, apart from the blog’s normal “program”

As it goes, today I received an approval email form the top sponsored blogging company out there: PayPerPost. You might have heard the buzz around this innovative company, and I can assure you that so far, they’re living up to the expectations! In my first login, I had immediate access to 60+ opportunities, from a list of hundreds. So far I only have access to the lowest-paying sponsors, due to my low PR, but hopefully this will change in the future. In the next few days, you’ll notice there will regularly be posts marked “ads”; hopefully such posts will not detract from your overall enjoyment of this site, and on the long run, they will actually add up to it! So, here’s a toast to PayPerPost, and I hope this is the beggining of a mutually advantageous relationship!

blog marketing

I want to encourage full transparency, so I’ll use this post to place comments concerning my earnings trough PPP,
and I want to encourage everyone to tell me what they think of me placing adverstisements in the site. Come on
faithfull readers, do speak your mind, because I’m definately interested!
