Ever felt lonely and overwhelmed by the hardships of the world? Maybe all you needed was for someone to hug you, and let you know you’re not alone. Ever felt ecstatic and overwhelmed with the wonders of the world? Maybe all you needed was to hug everyone and let them know they are not alone. Behold, the power of a sincere hug; it’s as simple as that: a mere fleeting physical entanglement that speaks volumes about what you believe in, even more so than the most inspired speech ever could.

Now, have you considered just going to the street with a cardboard and an earnest desire to reach out to fellow human beings? Well, if you have you may be surprised to realize that you’re not the first. Once upon a time there was a man called Juan Mann who felt he needed a hug, so he went out with a cardboard with huge letters displaying a very simple message: “FREE HUGS”. Not only did he managed to be closer to other humans, but as fate would have it, he actually started a movement, the Free hugs campaign. Do you know what is the funny thing (altough ironic?) He was censored by the police, and forbidden to distribute random hugs in his home town. However, his legacy endures, and all it takes is a sincere disposition and a cardboard. Have you considered giving it a go? I know I sure have. Keep me posted on your free hugging efforts, I shall do likewise. Yes?
