Despite our constant ravaging, the world we live in is still a hugely massive ecosystem, comprising hundreds of thousands different species of animals. True, Man tends to think and act like he’s the only One, but he’s just self-centered like that. Truth of the matter is, there are so many different species of animals out there that we could spend a lifetime looking at pictures and we would probably never get to know them all. Furthermore, among such huge bio-diversity there are bound to exist quite some fascinating, disturbing, outright eccentric creatures. Such is the purpose of the “animals” section in slices of life; to tell you about some of the most strange creatures in the green & blue world… only the most awkward will make it here: this is about showing you animals that you probably never heard about!
As it goes, today’s entry is as fascinating as mysterious; sadly I don’t know his name, and I wish someone out there will be able to provide more information in such matter. Nonetheless, it’s quite an impressive sight, this (fairly) huge hairy caterpillar-like creature that was found by some civilians in what appears like a regular urban sidewalk. Such a strange little beast! Have you noticed how it discreetly steers its sight towards the camera, near the end: as tough it was actually… aware?
update: I just gathered information on this creature, it’s called the “Puss Caterpillar”, and it’s quite poisonous. Click here for more information.
