You all know how I think the Nintendo DS is the best toy ever invented. Well, the thing that makes this portable console so great is that it’s basically a micro-laptop that you can slip into your pocket and carry around effortlessly. Besides, the double screen is truly a great feature, that easily makes one imagine just how cool it would be to have a full-fledged laptop with similar features.
Well, it would appear the solution is just around the corner; Estari has just announced the Estari 2-VU, which offers genuine double 15.4″-screen bliss trough a truly original design, that’s highly reminiscent of the DS. Actually, it’s much better, in the sense both screens are touch-sensitive, and each can register two simultaneous inputs; so there’s no need for mouse and keyboard. Sounds odd? Just check out this amazing picture:
It’s not a cheap toy, that’s for sure. Priced in the $4000-$4500 range, this gadget still costs as much as two laptops; so, it will be unlikely to ever enter the mainstream market, in the near future. However, this is a machine that can seriously enhance your productivity for a number of reasons. For one, it can be used just like a book, which allows for more confortable, ergonomic support, during those long hours probing the secrets of the vast internet wilderness. The double touch-screens allow for blazing-fast editing and management of programs and files, and furthermore all of your contenders will be intimidated by your technological prowess, once you get yourself one of these. It’s a sureshot! Do you think there will be more laptops such as this in the future?
