Magic Eyes: Tips on watching stereograms!
+
There are two kinds of people in the world: those who can see stereograms, and those who can’t.
No, seriously, there are more than just two kinds of people in the world. Don’t let anyone trick you into thinking otherwise. However, stereograms really are a cool thing, and the first time when somebody is able to watch the hidden 3d picture, truly that’s a special moment. Especially because it usually takes a little (or a lot, depends on the person) of determination and training in order to focus the eyes properly for the image to pop out.
If you never managed to see a stereogram, here’s my tip: you’re looking for a 3d picture (rather an illusion) hidden among all the gibberish. In the picture above, for example, there are two huge pterodactyls soaring through the sky! Believe it or not!
You need to focus your eyes like you’re a little spaced out, staring beyond the computer screen; then you have to slowly shift the focus until you are looking back at the image as you normally do. Somewhere in between is the magical spot where stereograms come alive! Go ahead, give it a try.
