Platypus: a living proof nature has a sense of humor?

Platypus 0

Half beaver, half duck… is this some imaginary creature straight out from a fantasy world? Actually, not quite so. The platypus is just a proof of nature’s wonderful imagination and sense of humor. The platypus is natural to Tasmania and Australia; I’ve allways thought this is quite a charming beast, however it turns out it’s one of the few poisonous mammals there is. The male Platypus has a poisonous spur in the back feet which ban be quite harmful to humans.  Can you believe that? It’s also one of the few mammals  which lays eggs.

All in all, it’s probably one of the coolest-looking, enigmatic creatures out there in the wild world. Ladies and gentleman… the platypus!
